Celebrating 2018 Insurance Business Awards

The third Annual Insurance Business Canada Awards Gala took place at the Liberty Grand in Toronto on Thursday, November 29th, 2018. The Insurance Business Canada Awards inspire an industry fostered on leadership, service, innovation, support and principle, all of which have continuously driven the industry forward. Over 500 attendees flew in from all over the nation to celebrate the insurance industry’s successes and witness the live reveal of winners.

Congratulations to the FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada Award for Lifetime Achievement recipient

It was our distinct honour to sponsor and present the FIRST Insurance Funding of Canada Award for Lifetime Achievement to Mr. Barry F. Lorenzetti, President, CEO, and Founder of BFL Canada. Mr. Lorenzetti has made substantial contributions to the insurance industry for more than 30 years. 

Under his leadership, BFL Canada has become a Canadian powerhouse in the insurance industry. With over 650 employees in 12 cities across Canada, BFL continues to be owned and operated by its own employees across the country. We were honoured to recognize Mr. Lorenzetti’s career accomplishments. Congratulations Mr. Lorenzetti.

FIRST Canada – Digital Innovator of the Year

FIRST Canada was proud to be awarded Digital Innovator of the Year for their bilingual interface, First InSite Lite™. We were recognized for our design and development of a bilingual user interface, First InSite Lite™ which leverages our loan management platform via APIs. First InSite Lite™ drastically reduces effort
and time required for brokers to create payment plans for their clients and offers a completely paperless workflow.  

FIRST Canada CEO, Stuart Bruce took to the stage to graciously accept the award on behalf of the company.
